Markus began playing Table Tennis at the age of 9 in Germany, one of the most popular countries of Table Tennis. He received professional table tennis coaching from a top player and coach Marko Habijanec 4 times a week and in addition to that he was part of a team playing in an upper league on a weekly basis. Furthermore he was able to win multiple tournaments across the country.

 

At the age of 18 he started helping out with the coaching program for kids as well as the adult coaching program later on.
